Katharine works with startups and emerging technology companies on commercial disputes. At Habibian Law, she provides counsel to founders and leadership teams who know that the sky is not the limit — it is far greater than that — and that artificial intelligence will unlock limitless opportunities for anyone, anywhere. Her practice is grounded in an understanding of how these companies are built, who they want to be, and where they want to go. Habibian Law also works alongside a New York commercial litigator with 30 years of experience, who serves as Of Counsel, bringing firepower to clients when it matters most.
Before launching the firm, Katharine completed a five-year dual legal education in the U.K. and U.S., and then worked on New York litigation and trial teams, where she became known for her work ethic, responsiveness, and creativity. She holds an LL.M. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she distinguished herself in Federal Courts and Trial Advocacy, and a four-year LL.B. in Law and International Relations — including Robotics and the Law — from the University of Edinburgh School of Law, established in 1707. During law school, Katharine founded LawTech, Edinburgh's first Law and Technology society, and worked at a robotics company founded by the Dyson School of Engineering, where Katharine engaged with the London office of a U.S. Biglaw firm on the legal and contractual questions that accompanied product development.
Katharine founded Habibian Law PLLC to do two things well: protect the innovators building the future and ensure that outstanding legal representation is not a privilege reserved for the few. Her practice serves startups and emerging companies, while her pro bono work reflects an unwavering commitment to access to justice and excellence in equal measure.
